La cantante ha dato il via alla sua campagna sonora per il 2021 con un banger dal titolo “Don’t Play“. Si tratta di una collaborazione con il rapper britannico KSI e il produttore Digital Farm Animals.
“Mi intrufolo a scuola solo per vederti, sono ossessionato dal profumo che hai addosso”, rappa KSI nei suoi versi. “Coco Chanel sul tuo collo con il tuo corpo tutto d’un pezzo, sono innamorato quando sto con te.” Tuttavia, Anne-Marie non è molto convinta. “Se vuoi mentire, ti saluto”, mette il broncio. “Ogni gioco a cui stai giocando… li ho già provati tutti prima di te.”
La star emergente ha però un ripensamento sul ritornello orecchiabile. “Non giocare, non giocare con il mio cuore”, dice Anne-Marie. “Ora le sensazioni mi colpiscono in modo diverso, quando colpiscono così in profondità non giocare, non giocare.” Il bop è immediatamente accattivante ed è accompagnato da un video altrettanto interessante, che presenta tutti e tre i collaboratori.
