A soli 2 giorni dall’uscita del nuovo album dei Coldplay “A Head Full Of Dreams” Eccitato? Naturalmente siamo tutti super entusiasti di questo nuovo album, e si dice che sarà l’ultimo album dei Coldplay, almeno per un bel po’ di tempo.
Data la frenesia e l’anticipazione che circonda l’uscita di “A Head Full Of Dreams”, Chris Martin e company nel tentativo di calmare i fan hanno fatto debuttare su BBC Radio 1, il 1 dicembre, una nuova canzone dell’album. E non è solo una semplice traccia. Hanno scelto di usare la canzone più attesa da “A Head Full Of Dreams”, la collaborazione con Beyoncé “Hymn For The Weekend” (ascoltala qui di seguito).
Credo che la migliore descrizione di questa canzone è: “assumete personale dei Coldplay nelle discoteche”. Questa canzone dal rock sognante vede Chris Martin ringraziare Beyoncé per averlo sollevato quando si trovava in una situazione amorosa precaria … quando ero giù, quando stavo male, sei venuto per sollevare il mio morale. E poi dice che gli piace come l’amore si stia facendo sentire… la vita è la mia bevanda, e l’amore è una droga, la sensazione di essere ubriaco è alta. Quindi, fondamentalmente, Chris sta dicendo che essere innamorati è come sentirsi ubriachi ed eccitati. Interessante punto di vista!
Nella canzone c’era ovviamente spazio per una cantante e dato che Beyoncé è una cara amico di Chris ‘, senza dubbio ha fatto la scelta più ideale nell’ingaggiarla per “Hymn For The Weekend”.
L’unica cosa negativa è il fatto che Beyoncé non ha ottenuto un verso da solista. La sua partecipazione è limitata a cori, con un intro e outro semplici. Ma comunque, questa canzone dei Coldplay è una boccata totale di aria fresca per i fan della band, un nuovo sound e stile a cui non erano ancora abituato. Hymn For The Weekend è assolutamente la collaborazione più insolita che Beyoncé ha registrato nella sua carriera.
