Quello vissuto ieri è stato un giorno importante per la storia della politica americana. Il discorso alla nazione di Joe Biden e l’inizio del suo percorso come 46esimo Presidente Americano. Molti i personaggi famosi intervenuti all’evento con le loro esibizioni: da Lady Gaga a Jennifer Lopez da Justin Timberlake a Bruce Springsteen.
Anche il gruppo statunitense dei Foo Fighters ha voluto partecipare per rendere omaggio al neo Presidente degli Stati Uniti d’America sulle note della celebre canzone Times Like These. Prima del live, però, il cantante Dave Grohl (ex batterista dei Nirvana) ha voluto tenere un breve discorso sull’importanza del ruolo degli insegnanti in un periodo come quello della pandemia mondiale, citando ed omaggiando la mamma Virginia Grohl e la Dottoressa Jill Biden. Queste le sue parole:
“Quest’anno i nostri insegnanti hanno dovuto affrontare sfide senza precedenti, ma attraverso la dedizione e la creatività, hanno affrontato queste sfide a testa alta. Quindi la prossima canzone è per tutti i nostri insegnanti incrollabili che illuminano i bambini della nostra nazione ogni giorno”.
Inoltre, il 05 febbraio 2021 uscirà il nuovo album dei Foo Fighters “Medicine at Midnight” che, nel frattempo, è stato anticipato dai singoli No Son of Mine, Waiting on a War e Shame Shame.
