Sin dal suo debutto nel palcoscenico musicale come artista indipendente, Skott ci ha deliziato con una spolverata di perfetti brani pop (“Bloodhoud” e “Midas” meritano tutta la tua attenzione) estratti dal suo atteso album di debutto. La pop star svedese mantiene calda la sua vena artistica con “Kodak & Codeine“, che vuole simboleggiare una frase pungente che si pronuncia quando si dice basta a una relazione che non funziona.
“I tuoi sbalzi d’umore”, inizia così la canzone Kodak & Codeine. “Amami ora, cambierai idea prima che arrivi la notte.”
“Mi chiami, solo quando sei in ginocchio”, canta Pauline Skött (il suo vero nome) sul ritornello.
Anche se il significato della canzone pare abbastanza evidente, Skött ne ha voluto parlare in un comunicato stampa.
“Incontri qualcuno che sembra capirti in un modo che nessun altro fa, e insieme crei questa bolla – è quasi come se ci fosse una galassia parallela dove ci siete solo voi due”, riflette. “Ma poi ti rendi conto che in realtà è un regno di un solo uomo.”
