I Soul Train Music Awards 2014 si sono tenuti presso l’Orleans Arena in Paradise, Nevada, il 7 novembre 2014, e sono stati in seguito trasmessi congiuntamente su Centric e BET il 30 novembre 2014. La cerimonia è stata presentata da Wendy Williams, che ha premiato i diversi artisti per 12 diverse categorie. I candidati sono stati annunciati il 13 Ottobre 2014.
Chris Brown parte con sette nomination, tra cui Miglior R & B/Soul Male Artist, Song of the Year e Video of the Year. Beyoncé ha sei nomination, tra cui Miglior R & B/Soul artista femminile e poi c’è Pharrell Williams che ha cinque nomination, tra cui Miglior R & B/Soul Male Artist of the Year.
