I The Chainsmokers hanno introdotto durante un live il singolo ‘Everybody Hates Me’ e precisamente durante il tour europeo, lo scorso mese. La canzone è ora disponibile sulle piattaforme digitali nella studio version. Terzo singolo estratto dall’album ‘Memories…Do not Open’ del 2017, dopo ‘Sick boy’ e ‘You Owe me’, Everybody Hates Me’ è la nuova hit di dj Andrew Taggart e Alex Pall. Il nuovo singolo è stato rilasciato oggi, 16 Aprile 2018, e potrebbe avere maggior successo nelle chart, rispetto ai due precedenti, augurando una risalita di ascolto dei The Chainsmokers, i due dj e produttori statunitensi.
Everybody Hates Me riflette la generazione virtuale e lo stato di solitudine, di incomprensione che dilaga tra i più giovani, presi da onde negative e depressive. Il senso di solitudine e il non sentirsi accettati, tutto trascritto a suon di beat! Una traccia musicale molto ritmata e con chitarra acustica introduttiva che sottolinea questo stato di sconforto.
Non si può uscire dalla confusione della propria testa, ma si può sempre prendere un drink con gli amici. Un altro tema affrontato nel pezzo, che prende in analisi il disconnettersi da internet, è l’affrontare il proprio io, i propri rimpianti e tutto ciò che crea caos ed insicurezza. Sensazione provata dallo stesso Andrew Taggart, che inserisce introspezione alla sua musica.
‘Everybody Hates Me’ è un inno contemporaneo dell’attuale generazione giovanile, ma con ritmo positivo che trasmette ottimismo.
