Selena Gomez inaspettatamente ha lanciato il pre-order del suo nuovo album “Revival” questa mattina (10 settembre), su iTunes e con il pre-order ha pubblicato una nuova canzone intitolata “Same Old Love”. Durante il recente Summit iHeartRadio, “Same Old Love” è stato definito come il “prossimo singolo” del nuovo album di Selena Gomez, ma né sui social della cantante e né nell’area della descrizione di “Same Old Love” che appare nell’audio pubblicato su VEVO questo viene definito come un “nuovo singolo”, e finora viene visto solo come un “brano nuovo”. A dire il vero, spero che questo sia solo un brano promozionale e non un vero e proprio singolo ufficiale perché non mi ha preso tantissimo questo pezzo di Selena, e dopo parecchi ascolti non sono rimasto soddisfatto, ma magari chissà, potrei cambiare parere in futuro. Mentre vedevo “Good For You” come un passo in avanti per Selena, con “Same Old Love” forse si è fatto un passo indietro.
“Same Old Love” dura 3 minuti e 48 ed è stato co-scritto da Benjamin Levin, Ross Golan, Mikkel Storleer Eriksen, Tor Erik Hermansen e Charli XCX.
Questo nuovo brano di Selena vanta una produzione scattante vintage-y electro-pop e una trama in cui la signora Gomez dice che non vuole più “lo stesso amore del passato” nella sua vita, di quelli che spezzano il cuore.
Tra l’altro, Charli XCX canta con la sua voce in qualche frammento di “Same Old Love”. Però non viene messa come feautiring.
