Questa potente canzone rap si ispira alla storia dell’amico di Macklemore di nome Kevin che ebbe un’overdose dopo avere ingerito parecchi farmaci nel 2010. Macklemore ha cercato di sensibilizzare su questo problema la società da allora.
Il video musicale per “Kevin” è stato girato a Seattle e vede il rapper Macklemore in due diversi allestimenti. Il cantante R&B Leon Bridges fa un’apparizione nel video.
Io personalmente non ho bisogno di un video musicale per la canzone perché penso che la canzone è su tutti i testi e messaggi che veicola, ma questo video in bianco e nero fa un buon lavoro ed è in grado di soddisfare l’atmosfera e l’umore di “Kevin”.
